The festival is based around a number of free recitals from Monday to Wednesday and paid admission concerts from Thursday to Saturday in the village’s beautiful Teach Ceoil (House of Music). It is a wonderfully intimate setting with capacity for 130 people. Visitors get the opportunity to hear the country’s top traditional musicians as if they were in their own living room. The festival also boasts an impressive week-long session trail, featuring over 100 of the best musicians from County Clare and further afield (Ireland, Britain and the US). All these sessions are free admission and open to visiting musicians to join in.
